For a limited period, John Patrick, local photographer and runner up in Practical Photography magazine's photographer of the year 2006, will be exhibiting his landscape images in the Farmers bar.

Walworth Castle launches virtual tours on its website.

Walworth Castle now has large, high quality interactive pictures available to visitors of its website. Users can pan around the rooms in all directions, even at the ceiling - a full 360 °. They can also zoom in and out to get the best impression of being in the room without actually visiting the castle.

These tours can be accessed where indicated by the virtual tours 360 icon shown above.

AA recognises food quality at Walworth Castle.

Hansard's restaurant has been awarded the prestigious Rosette for food excellence by the AA. The recently refurbished Hansard's restaurant has been a popular fine dining restaurant for a number of years and the Rosette accolade will only enhance its popularity. The AA are looking for "Excellent restaurants that stand out in their local area. The food is prepared with care, understanding and skill, using good-quality ingredients."

Head Chef Steven Myers and his team have created a menu that is sourced locally and boasts seasonal produce cooked to perfection.

To celebrate achieving the Rosette award, the castle is offering a special two course menu between 6pm and 9pm for only £9.95 until the end of May.

5 Stars for Walworth Castle Hotel in Tees Valley Food Hygiene award

Darlington Borough Council have awarded the hotel their highest award of 5 Stars for food hygiene standards. The kitchen at Walworth Castle underwent a complete overhaul in 2004 and this award is down to the hard work of Steven Myers and his team for implementing cleaning procedures which are strictly adhered to at all times.

Manager reaches milestone in service to the hotel
Surinder Singh, has been working for Walworth Castle Hotel for over 25 years. He started his employment in 1983 as a kitchen assistant and has worked his way through the ranks to his current position of Hotel Manager.
