Castle overview
Walworth Castle Hotel near Darlington, is set in 18 acres of lawns and woodlands and is one of the finest habitable castles in the country. Parts of the castle date back to the 12th century and a brief history and time line can be found here.

Functions
We have 7 function rooms of various sizes which can accommodate your requirements. Everything from a civil wedding ceremony and the subsequent celebrations to private banquets, conferences, training, seminars and recruitment.

Free Wireless Broadband
Although the Castle is undoubtedly historical, the facilities are very much 21st century. Wireless broadband is available free for residents throughout the hotel and the function rooms are all wired for sound and vision.

Childrens play and outdoor seating
We have an out door seating area at the rear of the hotel with tables, chairs and parasols to seat 50+. There is ample room for kids to play on the lawns and there is a childens adventure climbing frame area close to the seating so that kids can be easily supervised.

Torches
Why not add that medieval touch and enhance your special event with our flame torches for just £150 they will burn for over 2 hours and really enhance the atmosphere outside the castle (see picture below).
